A Hormones 101 talk - Naturopath Aranka Jones
From hot flashes to insomnia, heavy periods to vaginal dryness, menopause isn’t exactly a walk in the park! Your metabolism and libido are going off the rails and you’re suddenly worried about brittle bones, blood pressure and heart attacks. One minute you’re cruising through your 40’s, your career on fire, kids almost off to college and the next minute YOU’RE on fire as you frantically Dr. Google your symptoms at 3am during yet another sweaty, sleepless night.
You’ve heard conflicting opinions about menopausal hormone therapy. You worry about the safety and side effects of estrogen but herbal remedies just aren’t cutting it. You’re tempted to fork out a small fortune for a fancy hormone test your best friend’s neighbour did but worry you’re about to be swindled. One minute calcium is good for you, the next it’s dangerous. Everyone is going keto or plant based but you love carbs and meat. To top it all off Gwyneth Paltrow wants you to steam your vagina.
If any of this sounds familiar then you won't want to miss this talk!

Summer Camps
25/Multisport 2011/2012 Male & Female (July 21-25/25) CAD$449 Purchase required to enroll
The purpose of these camps is to build physical literacy through great coaching, an engaging environment, and a variety of stimuli. There is no doubt that athleticism builds self-confidence and prepares children for life`s challenges as well as an overall positive experience in physical activity. Missing the window for physical literacy will inhibit the ability to optimize skills and lessen the chance of healthy living to adulthood. Sports Specialization at an early age limits kids from exposure to new activities with different learning scenarios acquiring new skills.
Four mornings/week our drop off/pick up spot will be at Osler Bluff, where we will have access to tennis, volleyball courts, pool, hiking trails, workout spot and more. And one day/week we will meet in Collingwood and use the Collingwood trail system by bike so campers discover all Collingwood has to offer. A wide variety of activities taught by experts in their field will be offered throughout the week. (You must have a functioning bike and be a proficient rider to attend camp.). One of the things that makes our camp so unique is that our coaches are professional coaches or teachers versus just young students so campers learn many new skills throughout the week.
Early Bird Pricing - prior to March 1/25

Photography Nooner Free Purchase required to enroll
The "Photography Nooner" on Tuesday Jan 21st is going to be a 'group coaching' class from 12-1pm to allow us to update our promotional photos with the professional photographer who will be in the building that day. We will have all our strength and conditioning coaches teach a portion of this class. The idea will not be to focus on one client in particular, but rather show all coaches working with a group.
You will still get a great workout in but there will be some transitions as we switch over from coach to coach for certain portions of the class. There will be some videos taken as well for future promotional use.
This will be a free class to anyone who is registered at this link and helps with this project.
